KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
Location- Found in the western part of Uganda and the
park is with lush tropical rainforest and fascinating
diversity of animals. The park is one of the most beautiful
and stunning home of the largest number and our closest
relatives the ENDANGERED Chimpanzee as well as THREATENED
red colobus monkey and the rare l Hoest monkey.
The forest has one of the highest diversity and density
of primates in Africa totaling to 13 species including
grey-cheeked mangabey, red tailed monkey, bush babies
and pottos. 325 species of birds including yellow rumped
tinker bird, crowned eagle, green breasted pitta and
name it. Mammals include forest elephants, buffaloes,
bush pigs duikers and bats.
You may see some of the reptiles and amphibians as well
as colorful variety of butterflies.250 tree species
are recorded and some medicinal plants.
