AWRS 16 5 DAYS MT.MERU CLIMB / ARUSHA N.PARK

Day 1: Arrive and transfer from Kilimanjaro Airport to your hotel in Arusha for an overnight rest.

Day 2: After breakfast , drive to Momello gate where the trekking begins. After registration at the park gate , you hit the trail through the forest mixed with wild fig tree arch till you reach a small clearing where you may see buffalo grazing and a head to Jekukumia River and onward to Njeku view point where you will have lunch while overlooking Momello lakes and the plains beyond. Return to the trail and hike to Miriakamba hut for an overnight stay.

Day 3: After breakfast you hike through the glades and forest with the black and white colobus monkeys, to Mgongo wa Tembo (Elephant Ridge). Have a stop over for lunch and thereafter; continue to the summit of Little Meru for an impressive views of the crater and the top of the lash cone, the sheer cliffs of the craters inner wall. Start descending back to Saddle hut for your overnight camping.

Day 4: Rise early and walk a long an narrow ridge to the Summit. While at the summit, you will be able to see the sun rising drastically from behind Kilimanjaro. You return via Rhino point for you to seethe amazing rift valley,the volcanoes of Kirumbeni, Lengai and the town of Arusha. Thereafter start descending to Miriakamba hut for an overnight stay.

Day 5 : This will be your final day on the mountain, return to Momella gate to get back on drive for a game drive in Arusha N.Park and a picnic lunch before going back to Arusha town.
