09. 9DAYS THE GRATE APES OF UGANDA AND RWANDA
Day 1: Morning arrival and
meet our guide for Airport transfers to your hotel in Entebbe
for your trip briefings. Later after lunch, transfer to the
Lake Victoria landing site for a speed boat to Ngamba Chimpanzee
Sanctuary. Return to your hotel for overnight at Windsor Lake
Victoria Hotel.
Day 2: After an early morning
breakfast, transfer to the Kibale forest which has one of
the highest diversity and density of primates in Africa totaling
to 13 species. Overnight at Ndali Safari Lodge or Travellers
Inn.
Day 3: Morning breakfast
and get on for chimp tracking while in the evening we go for
a nocturnal forest walk onward to Queen Elizabeth N.Park.
Overnight at Jacana Safari Camp or Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal
plan - Lunch and Dinner
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park. After
lunch, take a guided walk in the Kyambura gorge riverine forest
to track the Chimpanzees and other primates. This is also
a home to other wild life including the Hippos. Overnight
at Jacana Safari Camp or Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 5: After an early morning
breakfast, we go on a guided nature walk in the Maramagambo
forest to the bat caves, crater lakes or other sites thereafter
we depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a home of
326 Gorillas, almost a half of the Worlds population of mountain
gorillas. Stopover for our picnic lunch. Overnight at the
Gorilla Forest Camp or Buhoma Homestead.
Day 6: After breakfast,
we go for briefing to get ready to be on the trails for gorilla
tracking, and after approximately one hour with them, we return
to the base for a shower and cool down with a soft drink.
Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or Buhoma Homestead.
Day 7: Early morning transfer to Kisoro after
breakfast for another Mountain Gorilla tracking of the Mgahinga
Volcanoes. Overnight at Mgahinga Safari Lodge or Gorilla’s
Nest Lodge.
Day 8: Another trek of the Volcanoes/Virunga
Mountain gorillas. Trekking is either in Mgahinga Gorilla
Park in Uganda or Volcanoes Park in Rwanda Mgahinga Safari
Lodge or Gorilla’s Nest Lodge.
Day 9: After breakfast,
we embark on a long way drive transfer to Mbarara for lunch
at the Lakeview Hotel and onward to Kampala or Entebbe for
your flight.
